Ethnic-Wear with a Fusion Twist

08:16:00

Last two weeks for me have been all about work and only work; as a result of which I had absolutely no time to go Diwali outfit hunting. I finally did manage to get one outfit in place for the main day but had nothing to wear for Dhanteras. So I decided to work around what's already in my closet...

This maxi skirt was something I picked up during a random shopping spree with my best friend at Pantaloons! I was (and still am) going through a 'I want all the maxi skirts in the world' kinda phase. I then spent quite a few weeks struggling to find a top that'd go with it. I chanced upon this black crop top while browsing on Koovs and literally ordered it ASAP! Previously I've worn this outfit with different accessories for occasions like a birthday dinner and a party. This time though my outfit woes called for some experimenting.

Once I started looking for ethnic jewellery to pair with the outfit I found so many options! I really am a hoarder. I've got so many boxes full of accessories that I completely forget about previous purchases until they're dug out! I've tried to include pictures of a few of my accessory choices for this look.

These clutches were given to me by a dear friend. They're by Art Apparel and Accessories. How gorgeous are the two? What I really like is how different the clutches are from what we normally find. I'm sick of seeing the same kind of collection everywhere! I was quite happy with the overall look and so ended up getting a few pictures clicked for the blog...

Here's wishing you all a very very HAPPY DIWALI AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
May all your wishes come true...

-Lots of love, M!
