Day-time Simple Ethnic-Wear for Him & Her

It's December...the month of festivities, celebration and of course weddings. Having to attend weddings most often leaves me feeling quite confused given my ethnic wardrobe limitations. Neither can I keep repeating outfits nor do I wish to spend a fortune getting a new outfit for every invitation. I'm dedicating this post to one such occasion.

Harish and I recently had to attend an acquaintance's function. It was a day-time event and we didn't want to get really dressed-up. It had to be a balanced sort of a look. Not the kind of casual stuff we wear to office but also not something very dressy...

I picked up this red kurta from Central Pune. I then went to Clover Centre in Pune and looked for a greenish-blue dupatta on which I got a lace attached to the border. From Central I also picked up a matching churidaar...These ear-rings and bangles were purchased a few months ago while randomly browsing through stores in Camp. Overall I was quite happy with the look. A simple kurta with my accessories being the main focus and a slightly dressy dupatta. Make-up for me usually is some concealer (especially under my eyes), kajal, eyeliner and of course lipstick! For this look I als added a bindi as I absolutely love them...When it comes to footwear with an ethnic outfit, I blindly opt for these wedges from Catwalk cuz they're super comfy and tend to match with everything.

Speaking of Harish's outfit, he wasn't looking for something very fancy either. So he decided to wear a casual kurta with a jacket...I simply love this jacket he picked up during a trip to Rajasthan. That state is my absolute favourite! Paired with white pajamas and kolhapuris, his overall look was comfy, semi-casual and perfect.

The dupatta and jacket being the major focus of our respective outfits, the rest of our look was fairly simple. We had a great time at the event also cuz our outfits were very comfortable (and neither of us was conscious about being over or under dressed). Hope you guys are having a ball attending weddings and making the most of this festive month.

Love - M!
