Cold Shoulder-ed and Denim-ized

I don’t quite remember when I went from living in denims to becoming a jeggings kinda girl. However, what I do remember is that the transition had something to do with not having a variety of easily available size 16 denims to choose from. Although I have picked up multiple pairs from Westside and Forever 21 (the plus-size section) in Dubai, I love variety when it comes to shopping. Why did I never explore options in other stores? I guess I’d just reached that point of feeling quite ‘whatever’.

Recently Levis celebrated a denim week and also conducted a Fashion Bloggers Styling Faceoff Challenge.  I had a super fun time styling their classic pieces with a unique twist and having won the faceoff in both, the male and female, categories received a Levis gift voucher worth Rs. 4500. Having never shopped from Levis earlier I was excited yet confused. To my surprise, size was the least of my concerns when it came to buying a pair of denims. I absolutely fell in love with the fit and comfort of this pair! I could literally do splits in these! (I can be quite the queen of exaggeration but seriously, that’s how comfy they are.) If you've experienced denim shopping woes, trust me when I say Levis is totally worth checking out.

Speaking of this look, I wanted to go the classic way with blue and white...An avid online shopper, I came across this Dorothy Perkins cold shoulder top on Jabong. I've bought several tops from Dorothy Perkins in the past and the fit as well as the quality never disappoint me. What I loved the most about this particular pick was the frayed detailing. Plus the fabric makes it a very cozy option on chilly days. To complete the look I opted for a couple of classic tan accessories including a strappy pair of flats from Westside and an Aldo bag. As for the jewellery I kept it really simply with a statement pearl ring from Aldo, a layered neckpiece from Colaba and a layered bracelet from Koovs.

Lots of love - M! Also, Happy August you guys. <3

P.S. As Father's Day was in the same week as when I received the vouchers, I bought another pair of jeans for my dad. He too vouches for the fit and comfort of the same.
