Ethnic Elegance this Festive Season!

With the festive season around the corner (Raksha Bandhan tomorrow and Ganpati a fortnight away), I find myself rummaging through my wardrobe looking for various ethnic-wear options. When it comes to Indian outfits for festivals like these, I've always been the kinds to buy simple kurtas and then put together different looks at home.

Every time I'm at Pantaloons, I make it a point to check out the collection by Rangmanch. Not only do they offer sizes up to XXL, but I absolutely love their kurtas. Comfort being the key, the fabrics are very breathable and that's always been my topmost priority when shopping for ethnic-wear. Even though Rangmanch kurtas are quite simple, either intricate embroidery or traditional work makes them perfect options for festive times.

This particular kurta for me was love at first sight. From the style to the print and metallic work, I loved everything about it. I chose to pair the kurta with simple red leggings for the day-time. If I was to wear it at night, I'd probably go for golden churidar instead. Mostly I'm a sucker for chunky Indian jewellery but wanting to keep the focus on the gorgeous metallic work, went the minimalistic way.

A pair of my mom's simple gold chain earrings, floral hand accessory from Trinket Square and simple black bangles with gold detailing were my pick. As somebody who absolutely loves sequins, I was ecstatic to find a pair of sequinned wedges during an exhibition in Pune. They've got to be one of my most impulsive and delightful purchases. To complement the look, I opted for a simple box clutch that also matched my heels.

P.S. On my lips I'm wearing the Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip Stain in the shade Haute Latte. It's a liquid lipstick that sets matte and is my most, most favourite shade ever!

I hope this simple festive-wear post was helpful. Have a fabulous week ahead. Lots of love - M!
