Monochrome Musings & Metanoia

The biggest challenge in life they say is to be yourself in a world that is trying to make you like everyone else...
From low self-esteem to giving in to peer pressure to fit in, I've been through phases of it all. Thankfully I've changed for the better with time and (saving those details for some other time and post) in this post I'd like to share a glimpse of the real me in the comfort of my home. We clicked these pictures on a Sunday afternoon after I got back from an event. It's the one day of the week that's my day. I try and catch up with friends or cousins on Saturday so that I can have Sunday all to myself. To just relax or to do the things I really enjoy doing. (Like a #SoulfulSunday)
I wanted the pictures to be a true representation of me and that's also why it was necessary for me to not pose. Thus, here are some candid shots of me in a Get Unready With Me kinda post. From kicking of my heels the minute I get home and procrastinating getting my makeup off to some self-loving (when my makeup is on fleek even after I'm home) and losing myself in a good book, this is me...
It's not just about growing up, but about growing...So glad to have moved on and learnt to embrace myself including them wild curls and chubby cheeks among other things I earlier referred to as flaws.
Lots of love and positive vibes - M!
