Hyatt Place Dubai / Al Rigga

If you guys follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you might remember that I took a vacation with my parents towards the end of 2016; it was our first international vacation as a family and we decided to head to Dubai and Abu Dhabi...I'm finally getting around to sorting out pictures and promise to share separate blog posts with pictures from both the destinations at the earliest. As for this post, we had an exceptionally memorable stay at Hyatt Place in Dubai and I really wanted to share my experience about the same. However, because I did not intend to do this post while there, I don't have very great pictures and am sharing just a few snippets.

My dad took care of all the bookings and arrangements and picked Hyatt Place, Al Rigga for our stay given its convenient location. Situated in the heart of Deira, Hyatt Place is at a distance of a few minutes from the Dubai International Airport and also makes it quite easy to access the Deira City Centre and the Dubai Mall. I'd been to Dubai earlier with my best friend and spent multiple days in and around the culturally rich Deira district. Thus, I was quite pleased with my dad's decision.

From the easy accessibility of the hotel after a late night flight to the courtesy of the staff and the spaciousness as well as the cleanliness of the rooms (with a full-length mirror), it was an impeccable first impression. The next 4 days were spent in absolute bliss just exploring the city, chilling by the pool, spending some quality time over coffee at the hotel cafe Jamaica Blue and relishing yummy food. My parents are pure vegetarians (they don't even eat eggs) and they prefer to stick to simple Indian food for health reasons. The kitchen staff at the hotel was extremely understanding and they took care of all our food woes in a jiffy and ensured the same throughout our stay. We opted for a chauffeur-driven car provided by the hotel for our entire trip and were extremely pleased even in case of this service. The chauffeur was an Indian living in Dubai for over three decades and he truly went the extra mile to help us explore Dubai (instead of just visiting the shopping malls)!

When it comes to travelling (especially to a different country), the accommodation you choose plays an extremely important role. My parents and I were overwhelmed with the service at this particular hotel; a big thank you to the entire team of Hyatt Place, Al Rigga. 😊

P.S. The view of a particularly beautiful mosque from our hotel (photograph below) was my favourite part!

I hope you enjoyed reading about our pleasant stay experience. Do share with me your memorable travel experiences in the comments section below. - Lots of love, M!

  1. Great post! The images of Hyatt Place of Dubai are beguiling. Everything about this ultra-modern desert city enthralls me. I recently found that many restaurants, cafes & bars in Dubai are extensively using biodegradable products to serve & pack foods. Well, that’s an effective step to conserve Earth’s resources.
