Of Indo-western vibes and photowalking through old Pune city

Every time I travel to Mumbai or Delhi I find myself absolutely awestruck with the architecture and cannot help but think of how amazing it would be to just stroll through the city photographing stories. This coming from someone who's based in Pune, a city replete with culture and history and just synonymous with old-world charm, even today...

With summer upon us, the change of season has given way to early mornings and beautiful lighting.
To make the most of both, Sagar Dani, my photographer, and I decided to head to the Mahatma Phule Mandai, the biggest vegetable market in Pune. The morning turned into a memorable one of photowalking through the by-lanes of the old city, simply exploring it like never before and capturing stories.

Lately I've been drawn to everything with the slightest hint of boho or Indo-western and am absolutely loving the idea of pairing extremely different pieces in my wardrobe. For this particular experience (I don't want to simply call it a shoot), I opted for a loose white shirt picked up from Colaba and paired it with my trusted pair of jeggings. Keeping the outfit classic, I played around with the accessories by adding a black choker and a pair of glasses for a western touch and a phulkari dupatta (from Amritsar) and footwear with pom-pom detailing (from Colaba) as desi elements.

I really hope you enjoy going through this photo-story as much as we did putting it all together. Until the next post, lots of love - M!

And here's a picture dedicated to love...because whether it's vegetable shopping or travelling the world, I'd much rather do it all with you. :-) #FollowMeTo
