The Beauty & Versatility of Capes featuring Anjali Wadhwani

I've always been of the opinion that you don't just buy a designer piece; you invest in one...And the investment has got to be something you absolutely treasure, cherish owning and of course, can flaunt more than just once.

Anjali Wadhwani, the "Couturier", is a Pune-based designer famed not only for her bespoke bridal but also formal and semi-formal outfits. What I simply love about her sartorial offerings is the attention to detail! There's a certain elegant charm about her creations that strike a perfect balance of vintage and contemporary elements. While browsing through Anjali's outstanding collection at her studio, I came across an outwear trend that continues to rule the ramps - the cape! The cape craze has been trending for a while now and is just here to stay. I've always wanted to experiment with the caped look and picked out two absolutely stunning ones by this designer.

If you've been following me for a while now, the two facts you must have gathered are that I absolutely love experimenting with style and that I don't wear sleeveless outfits...So, as a trend, the cape is what I call an absolute saviour. There's just so much one can do with this stylish cover-up to add an elegant touch to even a casual look.

I was thrilled to be able to step out in sleeveless outfits with zero qualms given the beauty of this extremely stylish AND practical piece. No wonder it's a cover-up that enjoys the kind of popularity it does...

I hope you enjoy going through this post just as much as I enjoyed putting it all together. Do share your thoughts about the same with me in the comments section below. I'd love to hear from you.

I styled 2 capes to create 3 extremely different looks.

For the first look, I paired the intricate floral detailing cape with a pair of denims and a simple white top. The cape worked as the perfect statement piece to an otherwise classic and simple look. I opted for denim wedges to further add to the casual meets classy feel of this look.

Next, I styled the same cape with a denim dress for a fun look. I love how denim helped enhance the floral detailing and colours of the cape. In keeping with the more relaxed feel of this look I opted for golden sneakers.

My third look was centered around this sheer mint cape with gold detailing. I paired it with a little black dress keeping in mind a date night out. Black and gold wedges were my go-to footwear pick given the sexy vibe of this look.
